Article's Provide Push Marketing

When creating an effective online marketing strategy, we often start with an arsenal of search engine marketing vehicles to blast our clients into cyberspace. Pay Per Click advertising and search engine optimization (SEO) are great for pull advertising. No question about it. That is to say if the need is already been identified. But what if you have a new product or service that doesn’t have keywords that are described by the market?

If you’re like me, you probably have struggled trying to target words that closely resemble your product or service offering with little success. That’s because search generally works best when the need can be easily fulfilled through search queries.

And yes, you could try banners or maybe even submit a press release to a newswire. But when push comes to shove, your client is probably looking for sales as well as just brand exposure. So what’s the answer? Articles.

Articles are not only great for informing your prospective audience, but also getting sales and leads. If you ever had a write about your company in a local newspaper, you probably already know what I am talking about. Articles carry credibility of the vehicle that publishes them. Think about it, if you got exposure from the New York Times, wouldn’t that be worth the additional effort to pull you away from your search campaigns?

Ok, so how do you do it? Well, if you or your client is large enough to make the media jump at the chance to talk to you, chances are you don’t need my help. But if you’re struggling to get immediate media exposure, there is a new article network that honestly is one of the best kept secrets on the Internet…Adfusion.

Yes, if you have read some of my posts before, you know that I am an advocate of their service. And its with good reason. Adfusion can give your brands boost where other mediums fail and best of all its inexpensive to do. For $1000, they’ll write you an article ($300) and publish it on their network with $700 devoted for clicks. When visitors read your article (click to read it), you pay only 3 cents. And, if they click the link embedded into the article (that goes to your website), you only pay 69 cents. Because they provide good web publishers that relate to your article content, these articles can be a great source of leads and sales not to mention brand lift.

Article push isn’t a new concept, but doing it easily is. I recommend that if you have a product or service that could use a boost to give it a try. The mere cost alone is worth the band lift. If you get sales or leads, it’s just another cherry on the top!
