Bid Automation by Dynamic Software

After souring the web for a good bid automation package, I ended up choosing Dynamic software due to their unique pricing and hefty keyword allowance. They offer a couple of options for purchasing their bid software, however I decided on buying the whole suite to evaluate the package.

Soon after my purchase, I tried the Overture/Yahoo program with little success. After loading all of my accounts into the database, wouldn’t you know it, overtures API was down! Ok, so I guess I’ll try the Google one instead. I proceeded to load Dynamic Advance (Google Version) and again entered my account information.

The bid program offers some bid positioning features for the Google search engine. If you are familiar with Adwords, you know about the magic black box and its ranking algorithm. Thus the software cannot simply bid for an exact position. However, the software will use your ad impressions and measure their positioning against your desired position. If there is a gap, the program will bid to your desired position assuming there is room in your budget parameters. Since I’m so used to the black box and max keyword bidding adjustments, I am not sure I will use this feature unless I need to hold a position upon client request.

Probably one of the most useful features is keyword exporting. I can’t tell you how many times I have been asked to divulge an entire keyword list from a client. With this program, all I have to do is push one button and it exports the entire list…even the negative keywords. This extremely useful if you wish to add some keywords to other search engines such as Yahoo! or Miva.

As I stated earlier in a previous post, one of the most important features to me is reporting. If you have ever tried to download and brand your reports, you know what kind of task this can be. This program can report up to last month’s data with your company logo and turn it into an HTML page. Not too shabby! However, if it could e-mail it…it would be perfect.

I decided to call the company on the phone and discuss if their was an e-mail option. They said that either I could purchase it as a hot fix, or wait till March 31st for their engineering team to come out with the feature. I thought that wasn’t a bad deal, not to mention that most companies don’t give you the time of day!

Anyways, as a former BidRank user (which is also a good bid program), this so far has exceeded my expectations and is definitely a cut above the rest. I recommend that if your in the market for a good bid automation package that you consider Dynamic Software.
