Nicely put Sasha. I agree 100%. Just trying to give readers some insight on how Social Media impacts SEO. However, I do believe the true power of social media lies within the channels that you decide to engage in. If its a dumping zone for "me stuff" it simply isn't going to work unless your brand is big enough to give such a message. (Example: Dell- they set up specific channels to release specials related to home or office) But for most companies, this strategy is a risky one. Then of course you have companies trying to be engaging hile their campaign blows up in their face like the whole McDonald's fiasco a few days ago. #McFail :)

Hi Christian,

Very insightful. I believe hugely that blogs are for building relationships. And if we want to build a bigger income through them, we need first to build loyal relationships.

Thanks for sharing,

@DragonSearch, I think you hit the nail right on the head. Basically, SEO essentially has a word of mouth factor in it. I personally think that this is great because relationships (like links) are very hard to easily manipulate. Probably even more so. However, I am still a little urked on how Google came out with Google+ and kinda said "By the way, this will have an effect on your rankings...thus if you want better SERPS, you better use our social media network" LOL

I completely agree with the fact that SEO is not restricted to big enterprises any more. Many small business are also resorting to SEO because of the fact that it is readily affordable. But choosing the right firm to handle your business's SEO is extremely important and ultimately that matters most.

This is very helpful, thanks for sharing with us. Also it is very important that we come up with fresh and relevant content for Google has gotten more serious about getting this kind of content. It's no longer enough to have quality content, we need to produce content that is relevant and the one that meets exactly what our customers need.

It is a lot cheaper to keep a customer than it is to get a new one. So great customer service keep them coming back, and telling their friends about your company.
